One of the main reasons for citing that the digital age has resulted in people feeling isolated is the aspect concerning the daily interactions that used to be prevalent in society. This daily interaction，such as visiting the bank or going to the local shops would normally allow people to engage in ‘small talk’，and particularly with the older generation，would mark a highlight in their day-to-day social interaction.
